Unstuck: ADHD and Avoidance in Manageable Steps

Growing Communicators

Tentative  ·  Late November

3–4 sessions  ·  Caregivers of children ages 2–6

A course for caregivers of young children who want practical ways to encourage communication at home through play, including children who are nonspeaking or use fewer words.

Areas addressed

  • Following your child's lead
  • Setting up natural opportunities to communicate
  • Responding in ways that keep interactions going
  • Honoring all forms of communication, including gestures, AAC, and sounds
